JR-Tech’s President, Jarom Renfeldt, presented to a sold-out audience at the Manufacturers’ Council of the Inland Empire (MCIE) about the ever-changing world of cybersecurity protection and compliance.

Of note, Jarom provided JR-Tech’s Recommendations Center for Internet Security, 20 Controls. Minimum Requirements for Cybersecurity.

The CIS 20 Controls are what the State of California uses as the standard for businesses to provide as “reasonable security” to protect Personally Identifiable Information.  Failure to comply could result in hefty fines should a business get hacked and PII is stolen.

“Prior to the presentation, I could not find anything to help guide business owners as to what would help fit the 20 Controls, but actually protect a data network.” said Jarom Renfeldt, President of JR-Tech.  Jarom continues, “I want to give back to the community and help businesses fight cybercrime.  The recommendation from us gives business owners a tangible place to start and really secure their information.”
